BUSINESS, AS IT MOVES.ABOUT MENA CURRENT
OUR APPROACH

A clearer view of business across the region.

MENA Current publishes original, source-backed stories for people following business in the Middle East and North Africa.

Stories in our own words

Our articles cover business, markets, technology, startups and media and marketing. Each story is published here under the MENA Current Editorial Team byline, with links to the source material used to prepare it.

We follow a selective registry of established publishers and official sources. Their reports and releases inform our coverage; they are attributed in the article. Official announcements, commercial claims and syndicated reporting are identified in context. Copies of the same report do not count as independent confirmation.

AI assistance, editorial responsibility

We use AI to prepare drafts from attributed source material. Eligible automatic drafts must pass deterministic evidence checks and a separate automated source fidelity review, then wait through a 60-minute editor veto window. The editorial team can hold, edit or publish a draft early; an unchanged passing draft can publish after its deadline without individual human review. Automated checks can miss errors, and editorial oversight and corrections remain essential. Manual drafts require explicit editorial approval. A collected topic or generated draft is not a published article.

We do not present AI-generated text as an interview, a firsthand observation or independent reporting. Direct quotations are excluded from this drafting workflow; paraphrased claims retain attribution. When material cannot be verified, it is omitted or its limitations are stated.

Source links and publication dates appear alongside our articles. Article dates show when MENA Current published or updated the story; source dates refer to the underlying reporting or release. Times use Dubai time. Drafts remain private until editorial approval or eligible automatic release.

A selective regional picture

Our coverage reflects the evidence available to the desk and does not claim to be exhaustive. Readers can browse the edition by topic and region. The homepage separates today’s Dubai publications from earlier stories and clearly states when today has no matching articles.

Corrections and commercial clarity

We review corrections and update or withdraw articles when needed. To flag an error, use our inquiry form with the article link and the relevant evidence.

Advertising and sponsored placements are clearly labeled and kept separate from editorial approval. Our advertising inquiry links are invitations to contact us; they do not imply that an article has a sponsor.
